News has broken that fan-favorite stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Production is currently underway.
A Significant Reunion for Fans
The actors are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. Speculation suggests their appearance will likely occur in a flash-forward sequence, considering the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.
This marks the sixth film in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a newly published work by author Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. For this project is Francis Lawrence, who directed most of the previous films in the series.
