The Initial Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering about PlayStation for the first time. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company continues to plan to draw people in with strong games on its key platform.
The Immediate Additions
A pair of titles that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Robust Selection of Games
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription alone. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — which makes them perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
